I have never posted on a board before but I do not know what to day anymore.
I will start at the beginning I have 3 children ds 4 dd 2 dd 9months and at the beginning of nov we moved and on the 21/11/2010 my dh how is in the RAF was detached for 4 months so we have had a bit of a disturbed time. And since Christmas my dd has had problems with sleep, we have overcome going to bed and staying in bed getting out of bed in the middle of the night and not going back but she had started a month ago with waking up to early. First it was 6.30 but now it?s 5.30 every morning and she has started to wake everybody else up so we are all tired and ratty.
She has a sleep training clock and she knows she has to stay in bed till the sun comes up but she doesn?t. I have tried putting her back to bed but as she shares a bedroom with the youngest she woke her up and she only gets out of bed anyway. I have tried bribery, I have even tried getting her some new bedding (which she wants) which she can have when she stays in bed, I have tried rewarding the other 2 for staying in bed to see what she?s missing, putting her to bed later at 7.15 or 7.30 as she goes to bed at 7 but as she is so tired she cannot stay awake this long. we have the same routine every night supper, bath, story with milk and bed so she is not waking up early hungry and she is yarning all morning and ratty and naughty during the day as she is tired. Please can someone help as I do not know what to do :(

Oh that sounds awful. You seemed to have tried everything! As you say you have all had a hard time recently, so it is understandable that she will have disturbed sleep. You have done well to stop the middle of the night waking.

The only thing I can think of is my DD used to wake up hungry, could you leave some choccie plain biscuits/drink next to her bed, to have in the morning? But she can only eat them if she keeps quiet and goes back to sleep?

Sorry not much help, hope someone comes along with more advice for you.
