DD2.8 doesn't want stories in bed - odd or normal?

DD is 2.8years and she wants a story at night, but won't stay in bed/ listen/ pay attention.

She chooses the book and sits in bed nicely, then as soon as I start, she gets out and says 'no more mummy'. When I stop and put the book away, she gets out another one and so it goes on and on and on..

Don't want to pressure her, but any tips, or will it happen when she's good and ready?

Our DS is 4.9 and we have always read stories in our bed, even though we didn't co-sleep.
Before he was three we only managed one book keeping his attention.
It will come in time. Smile
