The last few nights, just as I finally get DS2(13m) sleeping through the night, DS1 has developed some kind of problem going to sleep
. He says he has a "jiggly feeling in his feet" and is scared. Tonight I have sat with him and DD after stories at 7.45pm and she has gone to sleep, he normally does the same within about five mins of head hitting pillow but tonight, like the last 3 nights, he just wouldn't. He started crying a lot when I left the room to go to the loo, later to make a cup of tea - dinner was a nice idea now abandoned....
Finally I gave up, told him to come and sit on the sofa in the living room. TV is off, I am on MN so very dull for him. Finally, 5 minutes ago he dropped off. I was so looking forward to an early night, DH is out for the evening and DD had me up from 4-5.30am last night
. I can't lift DS1 into bed as he sleeps on top bunk - aargh!
WWYD? Go to bed and leave DS1 on sofa for DH to put to bed when he comes in later or sit around on mn feeling shattered and frustrated? We live in a flat by the way, so I would only be just down the hall. I don't think he will wake up, he usually sleeps soundly once he gets to sleep. I wonder if the jiggly feeling is growing pains? He can't say what it is he is scared of (although he is usually v articulate). Anyone else's DC's gone through this?
