How much sleep should my 11 month old get?

My 11mth son seems to be sleeping more and more. I always thoughtthey should sleep less and less as they get older?
He will sleep for 12-13hr at night, waking about 8 then by 10.30-11 he'll go down for a nap. Ive been waking him after an hour and a half but he'll easily have 2hr+. Then at around 3.30-4 he'll have another nap and again will happily have 2hr+. I wake him after an hour or so, then 6.30 bath and bed.
Dont get me wrong lots of sleep = lots of mum time but should he really need this much or am I worrying for nothing? Thanks x

Sounds just right to me, my DD was the same. Enjoy the luxury of predictable naps while it lasts!

12h at night plus 2x 2h sounds perfect! That's pretty much straight from the GP textbook.
Enjoy!

oohh you lucky thing! mine at that age (twins) were having 11 hours at night and 2 x 45 minute day naps which never seemed long enough. Now at 18 months they sleep more, 12 hours at night and 1 x 2 hour nap. So 14 hours total now whereas before was only 12.5 hours. Just enjoy it and dont worry.

I childmind a 16 month old have had him since he was 9 months old. Once in a blue moon he will sleep a good couple of hours. The longest he's gone is 10 minutes.
One monday he woke at 3am and was still awake (no sleep at all) at 11pm that night Shock
