It's nearly midnight where I am. I put her in her cot at 8.30. She was quiet for a bit, then started crying (in the attention seeking way iyswim), went to her, gave her a drink, talked a bit, left. DP came home, of course she wanted him to come to her, he went once, left, she's screaming, he went back again to try to be a stern daddy Hmm and I can hear them talking. She screams every time he tries to leave.

I gave her some paracetamol before bed as she had fever yesterday (but was v.chirpy), she was fine today, bit tired.

I am not going to take her to bed to bf and then have her partying for hours Angry

Now she's calling for me.

Arrgh.

I don't think talking to her is great when she's meant to be asleep. I think you're better off giving the drink and leaving with a quiet "Bedtime now" or whatever you say.

Again...how did she know Daddy was home? Did she hear him come in? If not then you cn't have her recieving visitors at midnight. If she DID hear him then I understand...but it's not something I would put up with...sh need to know bedtme is sleep time. No exceptions apart from illness.

I am a bit full on about it all as I work from home and have had to be...but you need to relax at night...

Yes, she heard him.

He managed to convince her to go to sleep, finally...

She's usually very good in going to sleep by herself and sleeping through the night. But once every couple of weeks she'll refuse to go to sleep or wake up at 1 am and want to play.

Good night Smile
