Growing pains - really?

DS is moaning about having sore legs a lot just now - often in the morning. He's always been good about walking, didn't really use the buggy much after 20 months. Walks a couple of miles most days, no limping and until now no complaining. DP says it's growing pains and that he had them as a child. I'm a bit Hmm.

They do exist. Check he doesn't have flat feet also.

Growing pains ime usually are worst during the night, because that's when the body grows the most.

I have spent many hours massaging my children's feet and legs because of growing pains from quite a young age.

Interesting. He has really sprouted recently, sounds like DP has a point (damn!). Massage sounds like a lovely idea :)

yeah growing pains do exist - DD gets them awful whenever she has a growth spurt - normally only affects her at night though... some calpol and a leg rub normally send her back off eventually

not heard of it in the morning but can't think of a reason why not?
