I have just decide to join in the fund raising committee now that my second child has started school. Does anyone have good and original ideas to drum up support/enthusiasm and most importantly, cash £££££! I notice there has been quite a few comments on other threads about how hard it is to get support for fetes etc., from other parents. Any ideas?

Have you tried Bags2School? Check out the website! It's a really easy way to raise money - bags are sent home for parents to fill with old clothes, bedding etc, and then they are collected. The school gets money by how much weight is collected from the bags. We do it successfully twice a year

Not original but school tea towels have always been a winner for us www.fundraisingschoolteatowels.co.uk or the same company through another website also do school mugs, where every child gets their own design rather than everybody getting hte same mug, haven't seen this anywhere else website bit hard to understand but give them a call and it all makes sense!!!

Sponsored bike/ scooter/ ride-on toy ride- chalk up a circuit around playground, print some simple sponsorship forms, buy cheap medals to hand out to each kid on completion. Each one can complete up to 10 laps etc. Make it fun and easy/ tailor to age group. can do cakes on completion/ sell tea/ coffee or just keep it simple. can decorate course/ put up flags etc = pretty instant cash Grin
