HI,

My Dd is 11 months now and has always been obssessed with putting things in her mouth as all normal babys are. I have never really been strict about this unless of course she puts something horrible in her mouth. She normally sucks on her toys etc...Anyway should I be stopping this and trying to control it now she is a bit older? I have noticed that at baby groups my DD is still putting things in her mouth whereas the other babies don't and keep thinking that maybe I should have done somthing about this. Apologies for sounding silly but any advice?? CHeers

It's a natural instinct for babies. Just keep an eye on what she's putting in her mouth! My DS has recently stopped - he's 15 months - but still does on occasion and I'm not worried. Seems normal to me!
