Lining toys up!

My daughter is 6 years old and is a pretty normal child! She however has a tendency to play by lining her toys in very neat, precise lines. She has been doing this for a long time and we thought she'd grow out of it but she hasn't. Any thoughts on what this is about? Oh and she has a dislike for buttons which makes clothing shopping very difficult - any ideas anyone?

I guess it depends if it's a problem if you mess them up? Is she ok if they get messed up?
The buttons are likely to be a sensory issue IMO

That's exactly what my dd (7) does. if she's watching a dvd she lines up any of her nearby stuff to 'watch' the dvd with her. This has included: other dvds, pair of crocs, cuddly toys, hair clips, a ball etc.
Btw - she is a Virgo and that's what I put it down to!
Can't help about the button issue though...

No she isn't - she's an aquarius. Confused

dd is the smartest, neatest child in school i reckon with a beautifully ordered pencil case Grin so not like me and so fussy it drives me crazy

I hated buttons as a kid - not much better now Blush ds lines his toys up, particularly cars. Don't think it is anything to worry about if it is the only thing that concerns you
