is that odd? she is 3. today she drew a wonderful pic, the sun on the bottom, blue sky in the middle, grass at the top, and all members of our family standing on their heads. but she turned it round to show me, and it does work out right. its very strange to watch.

Wow. I was impressed today when ds1 (age 4) put my watch on 'upside down' and didn't seem to feel that anything was wrong when he was telling me the time.
Now what can you harness that talent for?!

jamiesam · 08/10/2005 21:01

oh, err, is she drawing with the 'wrong' hand? no sorry, that's silly....

misdee · 08/10/2005 21:04

she draws with her right hand. but just upside down.

She's not left handed then? Dh's niece used different hands for different tasks (spoon in right but pencil in left etc....) Sorry, this still doesn't make sense!

misdee · 08/10/2005 21:08

nope, she is right-handed. she also likes to look at books upsie down.

i used to write upside down, and back to front.

does she always do it?

misdee · 08/10/2005 21:10

not sure. usually she just does scribbles, but lately has been drawing actual pics. and i watched her do this one.

Then it's simply really impressive!

Ds1 only drew his first sensible stick man for me in June (arms come out of sides of head, but sensible by ds1 standards)

misdee · 08/10/2005 21:14

i was very impressed by her drawing, it was very clear for a child who only turned 3 last month (considering she drew it upside down as well)

We're going to have to demand a viewing!

oops, maybe not.

Snowbell · 08/10/2005 21:23

misdee, I remember my sister drawing pictures upside down when she was 3. Weird, eh? She has turned out to be a very good artist. I'm impressed by your dd's drawing ability considering she's just turned 3!

misdee · 08/10/2005 21:26

when i charge the batteries i will take a picof it, the right way up.
