Hi Guy's I'm new here so please bare with me and I hope i don't ramble on! :-) my DS suffers from silent reflux he is now 13 weeks. I was lucky to have it dignosed after reading posts on here. I practically staged a sit in at my GP's office after she told me to go home and hold him up all night, not good to be told that after 9 weeks of no sleep! however it worked and 2 hours later i was sitting with a very nice consultant on the childrens ward. I call it the power of an hormonal tired mother :-) it is now very much under control. but i noticed he is a little behind what the books suggest i.e full of smiles for me and talks well but doesnt hold his head for more than a few moments and doesnt grab at toys. he was slightly early and was very small at birth 5lb 10oz. should i be to concerned?

Hi, I wouldn't worry. What does your hv say? Put it down to him being small and a little early and that's it. They all develop at different rates so try not to compare him with other babes his age. X

To be honest I havent asked. they have spent the last 13 weeks fussing over his development and the last comment because his little head had jumped up the graph was that he could have water on the brain. as a first time mum you can imagine i was frantic to then be told it was nothing. so I am slightly weary of their advice, x
