Sick & Car Seats!!!

My 2 and a half year old is typically sick when in her car seat. Even when she has been quite well beforehand having soft play for 2 hours prior to getting in the car! I know I shouldn't sound surprised.

My question is after removing all the bits that can be removed, shoulder pads, seat cover etc, how on earth do you clean the lumps and liquid out of the non removable parts that no cleaning implements can reach?

Is it ok just to put it all back together not 100% clean or should I risk buying a new one for the next 18 months and keep my fingers crossed!

Any cleaning tips? Maxi Cosi did not have this covered, pardon the pun...

Try a squeezy bottle and spray some water at it, perhaps it will run through and wash the bits out?

I do sympathise. We learnt the hard way that you DO NOT give dd1 a drink before she's due to get in the car, she will throw up without fail. The times I have washed that seat out. We once had to make an emergency trip to take daddy to work when his car broke down, just after she'd had her morning milk. I put her in the car with her raincoat on and a towel over the surrounding area. Sure enough she threw up but at least the cleaning was minimal.
