Ideas gratefully received.

Two activity ideas I found today:

Turn over muffin tin and get toddler to paint the circles. Then lay over paper to take print.

Dip small rock in paint. Blu tac paper in bottom of shoe box/tupperware. Put rock in and shake.

Dip bottom of toilet roll in paint. Use to make prints on paper.

blue tac paper in bottom of salad spinner. Drop in some paint. Put on lid and spin. Add different colours to make beautifully abstract pieces (friend's done this and very effective).

Cut toilet roll/kitchen roll into sections ('rings'). Paint, then thread onto string for a necklace.

Cut up old Christmas cards and use to make collages etc. We made a tree from brown card and stuck on robins from our stash. Added leaves from green card.

Cut out pictures from comic (bob builder/postman pat etc) and glue to paper.

put paint in tray and dip a toy car in it ( plastic cars with big wheels work best). roll over paper to make paint tracks.

when making hand prints with little ones use sponge to apply paint to their hands. Stops hands sliding all over paper!

save stuff like sweet wrappers for them to glue on pictures (shiny ones like roses etc)

give them a cut out shape of something like dinosaurs or whatever their interest to decorate with stickers, glitterglue, whatever else

bit basic i know but that's what my 2.6 tends to like doing and not that messy either

Cut out pictures from Screwfix catalogue and glue to select your tool box.

Glue together boxes and loo roll tube to make train and paint.
