Should I worry that he only wants a bottle

My 7 month old DS has recently been ill with chest infection and went off his food, understandably. However, altho seems better, meal times are a nightmare - doesnt want any solids, just his bottle. I can feel myself getting stressed about it and worry that not eating enough - he was on 3 meals a day, each with pudding!!

Is it ok for him to just have a bottle? Do I add in another bottle to keep him going? Or is this going to start bad habit?

At 7 months he probably only just started solids anyway right? We had similar with DS2 and gave him a few days of just milk then started weaning again offering little and often (yoghurts, soft finger foods, cereals etc). So long as he's getting a good pint or so of milk a day he'll be fine.

DD reverts to milk only when she's out of sorts and she's nearly 3. I really wouldn't worry too much, he'll perk up.

'Food is fun until age 1'

In other words, don't worry about it. My 18 month old sometimes goes 2 or 3 days with solids barely passing his lips when he's feeling ill and then makes up for it for 2 or 3 days after!

Totally normal. Lots of babies go off solids when teething / ill / working on a developmental spurt.

He's only a month into starting solids anyway. Many babies aren't on 3 meals till 9 or 10 months.

Its really really normal

Mine did it too, for upto 4 or 5 days after he felt better

I like the Food is fun till 1 thing
