Go your DC wear underwear in bed?

Just wondered as DS1 has (eventually) grown out of wearing pull-ups at night (he is only 4.5 Wink). He was very excited about being able to wear his underpants to bed so he wore them last night....do your DC wear underpants/knickers under their PJ's or not?

Nope - no underpants under pyjamas for my 6, almost 7 year old DS.

nooooooooo!

bums and bits near air...

BigTeuchLittleTeuch · 06/12/2010 19:57

[need]

Mine don't but my niece does. For a girl I think it would be important to let some "air in". I am not sure with a boy.

My 8y Dd always wears pants under her nightie. Her choice. Doesn't seem to have caused her any problems.

Goblinchild · 06/12/2010 20:04

Girl yes, boy no. I have no idea how they made their choices, or why.

ChippingIn · 06/12/2010 20:16

Let them do what they want to do - it really doesn't matter either way.

ceebeegeebies · 06/12/2010 20:19

Ok, just wanted to check that there isn't a health issue/reason why he shouldn't wear underpants.

I never put my DS in undies - have enough things to wash as it is without new pair every bedtime too Grin

mememe30 · 06/12/2010 21:03

All my son will wear is pants to bed. No PJ's. Wants to be like daddy!!!!

WingDad · 06/12/2010 21:05

DS2 and DS3 sleep nekkid, purely their choice over ours!

TheNextMrsClaus · 06/12/2010 21:08

No pants here.

The only exception was when we went on a family holiday and dd2 (then 6) had a short summer nighty - I insisted on pants to avoid embarrassing Grandpa with any bottom-flashing incidents.
