My DD is almost 8 mo and i'm a bit confused about how I should be structuring her meals. What do/did your 8mo eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner? I'm not doing baby-led weaning but I'm offering more and more in the way of finger foods, although I'm really nervous about choking.

Mine used to have things like;

Breakfast
Ready Brek/Weetabix/mini shredded wheats
Plum baby yoghurts

Lunch
Avocado chunks
Bread dipped in soup
sticks of cheese
ricecakes
lumps of pear/banana

Dinner
Stew (chunks of beef/swede/carrot all squidgey in gravy)
sweet potato
courgette/broccoli

We did half mush/half BLW and it worked great, DS is now 13mo and feeds himself completely, just getting to grips with a spoon now. Don't worry too much about choking, babies naturally spit food out if it's too big to manage! Hope this helps Smile

My DD is 9 months. She normally has:

Breakfast
1 Weetabix or Ready Brek
about 4 fingers of toast (she loves toast)

Lunch
Fruit Pot
Cucember slices
Cheese and breadsticks/crackers
Fruit, usually banana kiwi or pear slices

Dinner
Whatever we're having mushed up a bit, or 3/4 of a Hipp jar if we're having a crap tea like takeaway
Yoghurt

She loves broccoli, cauliflower and baby corn (got to be the unusual textures) and Yorkie puds with gravy that she can suck and mush up herself (still no teeth)
