how much does your 5yr girl cry?

I think my dd1 cries very easily, like if she can't get the top off the juice, not full blown crying or tatrum, just start to wobble her lip and look wet in the eyes. I've been ignoring it but feel like maybe it's young behaviour. Should I continue to ignore or try some positive steps??

ALOT and for anything and everything....if you look at her the wrong way, if you tell her she's done something wrong, if she can't do/find/eat/ something etc etc

I am hoping she grows out of it but tbh i think she is just a very emotional child really. She even makes me think she could be depressed sometimes she is that down.

mine is very emotional too, but I have now seen that I am too so it's to be expected I guess

My DD1 is just 4. She howls her head off frequently over terrible disasters like her t-shirt being a bit tight to get on, or bumping her knee, or can't get a lid off. She cries and cries and sobs and wails. Just makes me feel cross!
don't think she gets it from me... but wonder what I've done that encourages it.

Yup. DD cries more now than when she was a baby. Not tantrums, just sensitive. Since school started really. Just as an attention seeking thing and when she's too anxious and nervous to say what's the matter.

Our DD is nearly 6 and cries easily too. Sometimes you can put it down to tiredness (especially noticed that after she started school last year) and sometimes if shes getting hungry. However usually theres no apparent reason -I don't think its unusual though from talking to other mums.
