pinching and grabbing and making them cry...

my 15 month old is usually an amiable, smiley, fairly even tempered chap. however lately i've been taking him to a soft play centre and he's been very aggressive towards all the other toddlers. he runs up to them, launches into them with gusto, grabs their faces and eyes, pinches them and often they end up in tears. i don't know the best way of dealing with it and hope it's only a stage? i want to take him to a mum/toddler drop-in group soon but scared he'll attack! any advice welcome...???

not much except try and head him off before he can do anything . as a mum whose child always seemed to get attacked be proactive and tellhim it's not nice don't try to ignore it as it can be very hurtful to teh other child
