DD started walking quite early (at about 10 months). She was really strong on her feet pottering around everywhere. Suddenly in the last week and a half she doesn't seem to take anymore than 5 or 6 steps before crawling..I know she's still quite young to be walking yet but is it normal to revert back to crawling after being so confident on her feet??

is she unwell? sometimes they lose confidence when not at their best.

mousymouse.acrually she had surgery 2 weeks ago..A small one this time but her 9th since she's been born. She was only under anasthetic for a short while but I suppose because she's had so many and they've not hindered her development I didn't think that might me a factor. Perhaps because she's older now it might be affecting her. She doesn't seem unwell though..

I wouldn't have thought the anesthetic itself would have an effect on her physically, but if she's just been through a traumatic experience, she's probably feeling a little nervy about other areas of her life. Reverting to crawling makes sense as it's "safe" and less stressful than toddling around must be. I'm sure she'll find her feet again when she's ready.
