dark circles under eyes in 9 month old

My baby intermittently has dark circles under her eyes. She sleeps well (7 til 7 overnight as well as daytime naps). She eats a well-balanced diet. I never had dark circles until I was in my thirties! Has anyone else found this in their baby?

What do you think of this?

Our son had something similar at that age, although obviously I can't say whether it's the same thing in your case.

We were told once when he was in hospital that it occured in children that exhibited a high level of allergic reaction to things, and sure enough, as he got older he developed asthma, although fortunately fairly mild.

I have this, so do both my DCs (2.8 and 8mo) - google 'allergic shiners'. I had the standard hayfever, pet allergies as a child plus mild asthma - now for me is just a cosmetic concern! pretty normal i think - I don't think it's to do with being tired. hth

I have heard of it in respect to allergy to wheat.
