ds1 started new nursery, turned into a little terror

I'm a bit taken aback by the change in ds1 (3.5) since he started at a new school-related nursery on Monday. There is a marked change in his behaviour - he has become really unco-operative, rude and mean to his little brother.

I'm guessing this is a reaction to his having to go to this nursery every morning, whereas before he was attending playgroup twice a week. Any tips on how to deal with it. I'm trying to be firm but also sympathetic as he is obviously troubled by the change to his routine.

I don't think he has any problem with the nursery itself as he seems keen to go in once he gets there.

Firstly he will be tired.

Secondly I hear lots of parents say their Child has become naughty when they start pre school/ nursery.

My friend said her little girl became all cocky!!

Its not nice but normal!!

Thanks GA and annie, it's all so unpleasant now because ds does honestly seem troubled and the worst thing is that he takes it out on ds2 who is now living in a constant state of terror, running over to me with his bottom lip jutting out if ds1 so much as raises his voice.
