We have already had some locally Hmm and are dreading this weekend. What can I do to help him? The cat is scared too but she hides under the bed and stays there all night.

I can't help really other than to say that we are in the same boat with our daughter.

Last year was a nightmare as the fireworks happened every night for about a week either side of bonfire night. The only thing we could do in the end was let her come downstairs and sit with us when the banging started and hope that it finished by the time we all went to bed!

This year, we have only had one night of fireworks so far this week. Here's hoping there are not too many more :-S

DS has been scared since he was 2 and doesn't even like being in our garden while we have a few and some sparklers so he stays in with me and watches CBeebies. I can't control anybody else though and he doesn't understand why I can't stop them when they are keeping him awake.
