6 year old with a massive personality change

My 6 year old DD went to school yesterday with one personality and came home with a new one! It was so different it was odd...she is a shy and reserved child normally...likes playing alone drawing and writing...but she came home and was very physical...running around and acting "silly" all the way..then she began to play some mad running around and wrsetlingg game with her 2 year old sister....quite lovely to watch as she wont normally play with little DD.

She spoke louder, laughed more and was generally as I imagined a 6 year old might be before I had kids and found out some are quiet and reserved!

Then she got all emotional and over-tired...today I dropped her off and her teacher said "Gosh, DD came out of herself yesterday!" and proceeded to tell me that DD had been speaaking up in class, volunteering, asking questions and doing really well in her lessons...she is usually VERY quiet with her teachers...she has no trouble with her peers and is apparently always with friends and playing happily...but the teachers tell me she is very reserved with adults ...so this was a very drastic change.

I can't help but wonder what's brought this on...has anyone else experienced similar?

it could be something like...
-a compliment from someone she really admires / respects
-doing well in class and being told she is confident
-the end of some trauma / relief at finding an answer to something that had been secretly troubling her
whatever the case, sounds great!
