Hyper but only around certain relatives??

Its so odd as soon as we set foot in their home or go out with them DC turns into a hyper nightmare! DS almost 3.

Normal??

We had this for a while with my ds1 at my PIL's. I think that it was an attention-seeking thing. Might that be the case with these relatives, more than other relatives where you don't see the hyperness?

i get this a lot with ds1 who is 4 and a half. He is just starting to calm down a bit. Very irritating cos he just acts like a hyper idiot and theres no way to calm him down!

Is there other tension in the environment? For example my dds are far more excitable at the ils. I think they pick up on my tension. ils hate any mess/noise/disruption so I am constantly on edge.
