What's the best way to adjust baby's bedime etc when the clocks go back?

Is it best to gradually phase the new bedtime in or to just keep my baby up for an extra hour to synchronise with GMT? She is nearly 10mo and has a very well established routine. I know she will notice the extra hour...

There seem to be a couple of methods, either adopt the new time right away of phase it in.

A friend of mine does the one-hit technique and doesn't seem to have any huge issues.

We prefer to phase it in over a 4 days (Fri Sat Sun and Mon), adjusting by 15 minutes each day.

Never bothered with anything. Dd went to bed at the new 7 o'clock (or whatever)

Never had any problems.

i just adopt the new time straight away never had an issues with it
if you think she will really notice then just do half an hour, like as a comprimise. then next day back to normal

I'm going to keep him up for an extra hour if I can.

I've never understood this but my DS adjusts immediately, even when we go abroad with a 2 hour time difference.

Thanks Ladies, that all sounds encouraging! You just don't think about this sort of thing until you have kids, do you?
