My DD has a habit of scratching and grabbing her face, ear, eye and my boob when she is feeding. She has done this since birth but is now fussing along with it.

I wonder if it's wind and she's in pain? I need to give her something to play with before she does herself an injury! Any suggestions?

Sounds pretty normal to me. My DD has a habit of poking herself in the eyss when she is tired which was quite disturbing when she was younger.

You could try scratch mittens or one of these [hsmile]

Yes almost certainly either wind or she needs a poo. It could also be that shes gone a bit too long between feeds which is why shes now frantic at the breast.

My DD does the same :)

I think that I once read that it an instictive thing designed to encourage let down reflex or something because they are stimulating your breasts.
