My daughter is 2 yrs next month and she has recently started biting other children when they have somethng she wants she wrestles with them and if they dont let go immediately she bites them. I watch her like a hawk, but it happens so quick and she left red teeth marks in big brothers arm. I tell her no and she cries but i'm not sure she is getting thats its wrong as she keeps doing it. Any advice?

Oh Flojo, I understand how you feel. My twins went through a real biting stage (though thankfully usually just each other rather than anyone else's children). It is extremely distressing. The best advice I got was to touch the biters mouth gently while admonishing them. This helps make it clear that they are in trouble for the biting rather than for just taking the toy. I also made sure to tell them that biting hurts, they don't really understand that other people feel pain at this stage. It takes a while but repitition and consistency is the key. All I can say otherwise to help is that I found that the biting receeds as their verbal skills increase so hang in there! HTH
