DD can't find her dummy!!!!!!!!!!

Shall I take this opportunity to go cold turkey?

how old is she ? will she get really distressed ? for me I preferred to let DS know it was coming so it wasn't a shock, although it was only a day's notice

up to you, play it by ear if she starts getting really upset if it were me I'd give it to her

She is 20 months.

SS, my DD only found her dummy at night at 9 months old.
You could go cold turkey if you are up for it ... depends on what you want really.

Oh, are you saying you literally can't find the dummy or that she can't find it in her cot at night?

We have searched the house, and can't find it!

Oh, well you could go cold turkey then ... if you are feeling brave. My DD is 19 months and I am not strong like you to even contemplate it
Mind you, it would never happen to us as DD has about 5 in her cot and I have another 5 spare ones in the cupboard

We HAD spares - we've lost them all!! Time to do some housework, I think!

She does have a habit of hiding things though, and posting things in the dustbin.

She is 17 months. I am worried about bedtime although even more about naptime!!

I think I will probably let her whinge a bit, soothe her, let her whinge more, etc and hope that she drops off eventually!

She does sometimes go to sleep without the dummy so I know it is possible!

I may even try tonight...

I went cold turkey and it did work for me, but you have to be strong minded as it's so easy to give in to them.
