titty is vile. My mil called it a num num which dd had trouble saying and it got called a nu nu instead. She is 3.5 and still has it at bed time if feeling unwell.

i am from newcastle and everyone calls them a dodi.when i came to london i met a friends sister called dodi i found this so funny.

We called them dum dums, but Ds called his noo noo.

In the southern US, I've heard them called "foolers".

We used to call it a dody although DD, when little called it a dido as she always got it wrong. It's also the name used in france for a make of dummies.

I hate pacifier, soother, etc - too American.

In the 16th and 17th century babies were given a twist of sugar in a rag called a sugar tit.

I like soother, don' really like anything else.

I'm surprised in these PC times we can describe them as a dummy.
