Why does my toddler dribble so much?

My dd is 2.4 years and ever since being born has walked around with a soaking wet top! She dribbles so much that I am constantly changing her tops. She uses a dummy but only to sleep and if she is upset. When she has the dummy in the dribbling is much worse. Other than that her development seems fine for her age. She can hold a conversation and do the usual physical activities of a 2 year old. Does anyone have any good suggestions as to why dd could be dribbling so much, how I can stop it or when it might stop on its own?

my sisters two children started excessive dribbling when they started teething, she used to triple up on bibs and use a waterproof one as the base. Both stopped when all of their teeth were through, and it was worse when they had a dummy in as it just seemed to pour from either side of the dummy.

The youngest is 2.6 years and is only just begining to settle down.

My Ds1 dribbled a lot until he was over 2. The HV suggested things like sucking through or blowing through straws to strengthen his mouth muscles. Blowing on a recorder or whistle is another option if you can stand it. I think using anyway up cups with him helped to strengthen his suck but it depends if you are still using lidded cups with your dd.

My Ds1 did seem to grow out of it eventually. His speech was always really clear and it didn't seem to affect anything else.
