3.5yr oldstarted waking at 5.45am for a wee - any tips?

Hi - not sure if this is the right place to post, but sleep thread seemed to be mainly about newborns.
My Ds has been dry through the night since he was 2.5 and slept 7.30 - 7pm (hurrah!)
however in the past 3 weeks he has consistently been waking at 5.45 for a wee, and he can't get back to sleep.
The consequence is that he's tired during the day and falling asleep at nursery.
His bedroom is on a separate floor to the bathroom so I've put a potty in his room, but he won't use it.
Anyone got any tips? He is so tired during the day because of it!
(so am I!)

Oh sleep thread should be for any sleep stuff. Everyone sleeps Smile

Have you tried the usual about not drinking before bedtime? Is he drinking more at the moment?

Maybe lift him for a wee when you go to bed?

Thanks Marymother - will try the sleep thread too!
last 2 nights I've been keeping him up an extra 30 mins and he's been sleeping until 7 which is better all round
