I'm new to Mumsnet and desperately looking for help!
How can I teach my 4 year old dd that she can't get everything NOW!!
She can't seem to understand that she has to wait until I'm ready for something / ANYTHING to happen.
Never had this problem with my 8 year old ds.
Help!!

Patience is a virtue,
Possess it if you can,
Seldom in a woman,
Never in a man.

Paience is a virtue,
Virtue is a grace,
Grace is a little girl,
Who never washes her face!

I suspect that you have forgotten what your ds was like 4 years ago. Pre schoolers have little concept of time. It was be very unusual to have a patient pre schooler.

It is easier to attend to the needs of a precious first born only child. Its more of a challenge when there are two children who have to share a mummy's time.

This phase will pass.
