Nothing serious, just wondering about a hand clapping thing..

DD is 14.5 months, and for the past few days, whenever she claps hands, she claps 3-4 times, and then holds her arms out in front of her but bent at the elbow, and grabs her left wrist with her right hand Confused [hopes that makes some sense]

What on earth is this? No idea where she has picked it up from, but she is doing it every time she claps, which is quite a lot - I often get a round of applause for bringing her a drink Grin

I'm wondering if it's the kind of gesture that people on stage often make when they bow, while receiving applause? Been watching much X Factor? Grin

My DS does this! He's nearly 14 months. I just assumed he was trying out something new, getting used to different ways of bringing his hands together iyswim?

Do not worry, it sound quite sweet tbh and clapping hands at 14 months it a good mile stone. Sounds like she is getting to grips with her body Grin Our DD at that age walked on and off on tip toe for a year...she is now 24 and a successful professional.
