Growth Spurt?

Hello, sorry its late, i am looking for some advice about my DS1.

He is 6 and the past week or two he has been really emotional he is spending a large portion of the day in floods of tears, real, sobbing, tears at that.

He does have Cystic Fibrosis but he doesn't have any symptoms of anything wrong in that dept but i will speak to his care team.

Anyway, i have asked him if he is happy at school he says yes, his teachers are saying he is fine in the morning but gets very tearful after lunch, he is happy and content to go into school in the morning so im not concerned about bullying or anything like that.

When i ask him whats the matter he just says 'im so hungry and tired all the time Mum.'

He sleeps from about 7.30pm - 7.00am and he eats 3 huge meals a day plus 3 snacks, his weight is fine but he has been looking skinnier lately.

I am wondering if he is going to suddenly shoot up and inwards, could that be it does anyone think? Or does it sound like he is coming down with something or has a worry else where?

Does anyone have any experiences or adivce? He is just so sad and its heartbreaking to see.

My friend's little boy (just turned 7) has been having really bad growing pains over the last year and yes, he can get very emotional. He is much taller than other children his own age now and is finding it tricky to fit in as the kids his on age think he's much older physically yet socially he is just the same as they are.

Have just googled for you and it seems to suggest that boys have their main growth spurts later than girls at 10-15 (girls are 8-13).
