15mo only wants to eat meat

My 15 month old DD - who has always been a voracious eater - has suddenly developed a total aversion to carbs and veg. All she wants to eat is meat. Slices of beef, chicken, ham all disappear at top speed and she points to the fridge for more. Everything else goes on the floor accompanied by much head shaking and arm waving.

I should add she will eat any amount of sweet stuff (ice cream, raisins) and yogurt and bananas go down OK with a bit of persuasion, so she's not in any immediate danger of starvation.

But how worried should I be? Is it just a phase or something I need to nip in the bud (and how?) before I have a real fussy eater on my hands?

Baby #2 is due in 6 weeks time and I would really like to have my "good eater" back by then!

I have no advice at all but my DS is the same! He absolutely loves meat & cheese plus sweet stuff - 20 months old and on Atkins....

Bloody annoying when I stand there cooking lovely meals which he refuses and asks for "ham! sausage!"

I'm not getting worked up about it as I really don't think there's much I can do tbh and hopefully it's yet another phase which will one day pass....

my 16m old can go through patches like this, i try to give her saucy meats (tind toms or whatever you have) that way she gets a bit of veg, she likes bread fingers with meat paste on aswell....i find she likes food better raw like tomatos, cucumber, peppers.

I tend to be of the opinion that if a child wants to eat one thing rather than another it means that he/she needs that food. Perhaps your DD is having a growth spurt? I'd go with it, I bet next week it'll be just bread and pasta and veg she fancies.
