At 2y 2m my ds does this all the time, to me,dh andother kids and i cant understand it and i dont know what to do to stop it.

He does it without warning, when challenged, excited or for no reason at all.

He also has started to kick.

He doesnt go to nursery (started play school on mon)hasnt seen aggresive behaviour any where that i know, so my questions are:

  1. why is he doing this?

2)how do i stop it?

  1. because he can
  2. Ignore, remove from situation, say "we don't hit/kick". If to another child make more fuss to the "injured child". Also check that his diet is free of the Dirty Dozen, and try to keep him fed and hydrated.

am curious, bobbybob -
what are the 'dirty dozen'? never heard that phrase before when it comes to children! (my ds is 14.5 months old... )

thanks

A particularly nasty set of food additives, includes 621 (MSG). You'd be surprised where that one gets (oxo cubes for example).

Google for a list of what they are, and what they do.

I already do those things but he continues.
I shall google the dirty dozen thanks.
Although i am already anal about his diet!
Thanks for advice bobby, appreciated.
