Jet Lag - baby - 6 months old

Do any of you have experience of taking their child to far flung places & the effect of jet lag on sleep routines?

Next month we're planning to take our 6 month son to Hawaii for three weeks. At the moment he's a very good sleeper, 12 hours (usually) at night & 3 day time naps (50mins (ish) each).

Of course a 10 hour time difference is going to distroy his sleep rountine ..for a few days ... but I'm wondering just how bad it's going to be ... Confused

Any comments or tips anyone?

We went to florida when DD was 8 months. She was a good sleeper as well, only problem we had was she got up stupidly early for the first few days there. It gradually got better. Still the same amount of sleep over all though.
On returning home she did sleep longer in the morning for a few days ,but I slid this back to the old routine quite easily.
