Hi,

Our DD has always been a good sleeper, going down easily at 7pm, sleeping through to 7am.
Recently though (last 3 weeks) she has been waking at 5.30am, quite distressed, shouting "daddy" repeatable!

We want to get her back to sleeping till at least 6am, preferably 6.30am and have tried putting her to bed later (8pm), cutting down her day sleeps to 1 hour but still she wakes up at 5.30am.

Its like her body clock has reset!

Any ideas or advice gratefully received!

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem a while ago. I did the putting to bed later thing too.

How long did you put her to bed at 8pm for?

I found it took 4/5 nights of putting ds to bed later before he started waking at 6.30/7am again then left it an extra couple of nights before bringing his bedtime forward by 15 minutes or so every couple of nights until he was back to 7-7.

All in all, it took just over 2 weeks I think!

Good luck. 5.30 feels like the middle of the nigh for me. Lol.

Teeth? Can last a while at this age sometimes.

If you leave her can she settle herself back? What do you do when she wakes?
