Odd looking lady bits

I know this might sound a little odd and I am a bit embarrassed to be posting but I am really worried about my DD's vagina...

She appears to have a little 'tentacle' coming out - a really really thin piece of skin which sort of sticks to her. It's not particularly long but it does poke out and I don't know whether it is normal or not (this is why I'm embarrassed, I feel like I should know!)

Any help or reassurance would be most welcome - I think we may take her to have it checked tomorrow at the walk in.

Its not causing her any obvious pain or discomfort and I know we're all different down there...!

I was going to post the exact same question last week. I noticed it on my daughter who has just gone three. I had to take her to the Docs for something else, so asked her to have a quick check of her. She said it was normal, even told me the correct name but I can not remember.

I am so grateful that you've posted! I think will do the same as you - next time she's in for something, mention it.
