Hi, I have an 8 month old baby boy, I was just wondering when should they be holding a beaker/sippy cup and drinking from it whilst they are sitting? My little boy holds his bottles but really wont hold his beaker to drink from? Many thanks for all advice given :-)

mine doesn't either @ 9.5 months. i think my oldest was about 11 or 12 months by the time he did..
if they can hold & grip other things dont think there is too much to worry about? mine doesn't hold bottles either, and ds1 was over 1 when he started holding his own. i think they sometimes just like being fed, will do it themselves eventually

My 15 month old has really just start holding his sippy cup/bottle. And usually with his bottles he prefers someone hold it for him and give him a cuddle while he drinks it.

I do find handled cups/bottles are held more often than one's without handles.

Mine's just started and he's 11.5mo. Just let him do what he wants, sounds like he's actually quite advanced there with his bottle-holding Smile
