good for her!
how old is she btw?
my dd was over 6 months when she rolled over onto tummy and i remember i had been beginning to worry about it cos everything I read said they 'should' roll over by six months. since then i have encountered, thru knowing other mums, many other healthy babies who did not roll until much later, or never even really rolled at all but just started sitting and then crawling.
personally i think babies are not as into rolling as they used to be - probably because we are all encouraged to put them to sleep on their backs so it's harder for them to get started.
on the other hand, my friends baby girl was rolling all around the loungeroom floor at 16 weeks!

Hi Starshaker

Well done Alana. Jack can only roll from back to tummy at the mo (took 17wks to do this mind). When he gets there he is ok for a few mins, but then cries because he cant roll back....Not so good at 4am when he gets stuck.. How long was Alana on her front before she managed to roll onto her back??

starshaker · 08/09/2005 14:25

she was about 2.5 months for tummy to back and 5 months for back to tummy

My little girl never managed to roll over until she was 11 months, she learned to sit unaided at five months and shuffled around on her bottom at around 10 months but until she was 11 months if I laid her on her back she was stuck. It was great! Easy peasy nappy changes and if I needed to leave the room I could just lie her down and know she was safe! Doesn't work any more though, now she's walking so she's everywhere.
