My 2 year old cries all the time. He's done this for about a year now. What does anyone suggest I do?

Have you been to the gp? You must be close to madness by now.

literally all the time?
are there any triggers?
could it be a food intolerance? try keeping a food diary for a couple of weeks?

is he ever ok?

have you had his hearing checked? What is his speech like? My dd cried a lot at that age and it later transpired she had really bad glue ear. What sort of routine have you got in place? Could he be very tired?

Been to GP, checked for food intolerance but not hearing. I will organise that. Thanks for help

When DS was 2, I took him to GP in desperation, as he was always unhappy.

the GP didn't find anything wrong with him.

Out of desperation I to him to a cranial osteopath. It was worth every penny.

If there is a problem with glue ear, the cranial osteopath will be able to help. Try to find one who like working with children. Smile

Totally right to eliminate a physical cause. My DD once had a urine infection and cried non-stop for weeks before we worked out what the heck was going on. Also her shoes were too small and her hair constantly in her eyes, but she didn't have the language to tell us. Blush

Just a thought- is there anything going on at home- new baby, illnesses, money worries etc. that might be rubbing off on him? Anything particular happen around about a year ago, when he started crying so much? Just a bit of a shot in the dark. One of the questionnaires I had to fill out when I saw a family psychologist asked whether my DD cried all the time, was in a bad mood when she woke up etc. and they used that to work on the happiness of the whole family, not just DD.
