We have a dd nearly 3 and she is becoming increasingly frustrating as far as bedtime and staying in bed are concerned. She has always been happy to go to bed, stay in bed and sleep. Literally no problems at all, she went into a bed with no issue too and we knew we were very lucky.

About 9 months ago we moved house, she was quite happy and decided that she wanted to go into a bed then, I then discovered I was pregnant and there were still no problems until we did some work on our house and the late stages of pregnancy hit. She started to get out of bed and come into our room and climb into bed but probably only 1 x per week.

Since birth of ds, she has been very difficult to put to bed (wants me to stay with her until she is asleep, procrastinates about bedtime, tells everyone her room is scary etc etc.) When we do finally get her to sleep she will then wake up a couple of hours later and be all upset, if we are up that is fine we take her back (although she says she doesn't want to be in her room) but she is also just getting our of bed and coming into our room - every night regardless. I don't mind, really I don't but I am not getting any "grown up" time or time to myself at all, and I have usually in the middle of the night got ds back down and fallen asleep when she comes in and wakes me up..........cue bog all sleep!

Is this normal?
What can I do to encourage her staying in her room?
please hold my hand and tell me at somepoint in 2010/11 I might get some rest!
