ds has only been in school 2 weeks and today he got sent to the headmaster's office for fighting with his friend. he told me about it himself. i imagine his teacher would have told me except that he was first out through the gate and we just lef straight away, but she has to wait for all the children to be collected before she can talk to the parents. he says his friend said he knew everything, so he replied that he did and then they ended up shouting at each other and he hit his friend. i had a thread a few weeks ago about him hitting and kicking me, i think related to his dad leaving last month as he had never hit before. but i am absolotely devastated that he has done this to another child. i don't want him to be the naughty boy at school. should i arrange to see his teacher? from what ds said, i think his name went into the record book. his friend was also sent to the office aswell, although i really don't know exactly what happened.

How old is DS?

5, this is his first year of primary. he has been friends with this boy for 2 years in nursery and we have never had an incident like this. Sad

sounds like it is a reaction to his dad leaving. very hard for children to cope with but have a talk with his teacher for reassurance
