okay our house is manic as i have a 19 year old, a 17 year old, 9 year old, 17 mth old and a 10 month grandson living in my house.

My eldest is on a gap year before uni, the middle a trianee nurse... they are fine other than the 17 year old is diabetic and does not do her insulin so it is a little loud when asking her etc..

well the thing is all the time my son has been at primary school i have nver ever had to go in for behaviour and if i had ben in today ewould never of found out. They said that he has been very disruptive and silly in class and laways wants the last say/word.. i hate this and discussed it with him.
I know i must sopend more quality time with him rather than buying him things like dvds and treats but I do try and regualr go to the zoo, parks etc at weeknds and stay over soemtimes.
I am not sure what time your 9 year old goes to bed but would love to know their routines and what you do with them at weekands etc as not sure if i am doing enough or interacting correctly to be honest. I am not sure if 9pm is too late for bed either so pleasr post me your routines and any tips you have for a structured system please..

thanks x

My DS is 9 and he goes up for a bath and bed at 7.30, but lights out at 9.

I do a lot of activities with him but I only have him living at home, the DDs have grown up and left.

It must be hard for you with so many to look after. I think it is also difficult when you have older teenagers in the house, as the younger ones copy them.

I doubt you are doing anything wrong, he has just reached that age where they start to assert themselves.
