Can anybody help I have a 19 month old niece who is always putting things in her mouth she swallowed a twenty pence the other day only knew she had done this when her gran found it in her sick after she'd done it.

I have a 22 month old who has never really done this only at an early age an grew out of it thought she would have been the same.

dd never did this as a toddler - I got some pretty strange looks when I was having a proud mummy moment when she was 15months and I was gushing about how clever she was being able to put hats on the little playmobil people. I didn't realise at the time that you could let most toddlers that age near something that tiny

However she is now four, and puts things in her mouth quite a lot! I don't know why, she just likes doing it....sorry doesn't help
