Can't even make a bloody phone call!

Title says it all really. Nearly every time I try to make a phone call my ds1, who is four, prevents me from being able to talk properly. I just got off the phone to my sister because he was making so much noise. It wouldn't be so bad if he was unoccupied and bored, but I only phoned her because he was busy watching a dvd. He will make silly noises as loud as possible and run around madly.

I was so angry that it was happening AGAIN that as soon as I came off the phone I switched his dvd off and sent him up stairs so I could calm down.

Will this problem get better with age and does any one else experience this?

Thanks!

I didnt have axactly this but everytime I used to be on the phone (no matter who it was) my DD would see it as a cue to do whatever she liked because she knew she didnt have my undivided attention. Quite frustrating but she has grown out of it.
Now when I tell her (shes 4 1/2) that I need to make an important phone call she sits quietly/carries on playing nicely.

He will grow out of it but not sure there's much you can do in the mean time, my DD never cared when I told her off for it.

Hopefully someone will come along soon with more useful info!
