I have a few worries about my DS almost 3 and would like to know how anyones child with Asperger?s behaved at around this age.

Any comments would be really helpful. Thank-you.

My son was diagnosed at 3.He is 6 now and they have removed the official diagnosis,as he has improved so much they feel it is unfair to "label" him. They do still think he has it,and that he may have some problems at about 9/10 yrs.He was very clingy to me at 3,no eye contact, repetitive robotic speech, very clever, became obsessed about things,eg space, telling the time etc,and would have to learn it all off in a day or two!Couldn't stand other children near him, extremely limited diet, became very distressed in certain situations, didn't like watching people eat or the smell of food,no imagination...lots of things really! He is a completely different boy now! Goes to school, loads of friends, after school activities, just mormal stuff.Still gets a bit stressed at parties, but all ok.

Hello woopsdaisy,

Just read your message as have been trawling through the posts. We saw a doctor today about our DS. She has not yet given an ASD diagnosis but am interested to know what interventions your son has had as he seems to have made wonderful progress!

Thanks
