DS screams if Daddy puts him to bed - suggestions?

DS is 4mths old and screams if his Dad puts him to bed. Tonight he screamed and screamed until I went up and gave him a cuddle. Then he quietened down immediately, handed him back to Dad and he screamed again, it was really obvious. He doesn't cry a lot during the rest of the day and doesn't cry with his Dad any other time. I don't mind doing the evening shift but I'm going out next Thurs and don't want to leave hubbie with horrendous evening.

Any suggestions on what we do?

My DTs were clingy to me over DH at this age as well, didn't last too long but tricky if you want to go out.
Are you bf? If so try squeezing some milk onto a muslin or something for your DH to hold as you pass him DS. Other wise maybe try giving DH some of your clothes to wrap DS in? Clutching at straws really, don't think I'd go out!
Good luck.

We had this problem a couple of months ago. I stayed with them and effectively did the Baby Whisperer's pick up put down (but taking DS from DH and passing him back as soon as he had calmed) for a couple of evenings. Not sure whether DS was just a bit of a pushover but it worked very quickly! Good luck.
