Rolling then crying

DD has just started to roll from her back to her front - the problem is that she hates it! She starts screaming so I turn her back over, and then she immediately does it again.

My question is - should I leave her for a bit even if she seems unhappy? Is it important that she learns to like being on her front(I am guessing that it is!). How long should I leave her - I would never normally leave her to cry .. .

Can she lift her head up? If she struggles with that that may be why she doesn't like being on her front?

Yes she can lift her head up - not for that long though. Feeling bad now that I didn't try hard enough with tummy time because she always cried.

My ds did this and we spent a week just continually turning him back over (day and night!)It drove us crazy but he soon learnt to turn back and now 3 weeks later spends most of his time on his tummy!
We never gave him tummy time before this either as he hated it, so I guess what im trying to say is don't worry and don't feel bad it doesn't last long!

Thanks loveandpeace, I feel reassured! Hope she learns soon!

We're 3 weeks in and still going - like loveandpeace said, day and night.... yawn! Seem to remember it was about a amonth with dd1. She certainly doesn't do it now at nearly 3 so she must have grown out of it along the way!
